Back in April of 2024, I had the honor of sharing my four favorite NKY restaurants in a NOW in the NATI segment with Fox19 reporter Julie O’Neill. Given the time constraints of a 5-minute segment, I’m taking this opportunity to dive deeper into the incredible stories behind each of these establishments and share my go-to orders.

Deeper Roots is a lovely coffee bar with an admirable mission and good people. Add on the fact that sitting in a cozy shop in the middle of a city is just so relaxing, and you have a winning combination.

Despite its poor condition, the old Teez Café remains a crowd favorite. No business (that I know of) currently calls this place home, but it still has a decorated past worth exploring.

It seems strange to start the Guides series off with a piece from the Kentucky side of things, but there are few better areas that allow you to capture the beauty of Cincinnati’s skyline up close. But the reason’s for choosing this section of Northern Kentucky as the first installment go beyond just the view.
